Great Googly-Moogly

All of a sudden, I have developed a massive influx of visits from livejournal.com/friends links.

Since LiveJournal confuses the hell out of me, I have no idea who, what, where, when, or which, despite having checked more than a couple of the back-links.

*scratch, scratch*

Oh, well, my curiosity must go unsatisfied.

Welcome to The LawDog Files.

Booze and BBQ that way, guns that way, feel free to put your boots up on the coffee table, but don’t bother the discarded pizza boxes — they’ll bite if they feel threatened.

  1. LawDog,
I often visit one or more times each day to read your posts.

I realize that your profession limits your blogging time and energy, and I greatly appeciate your unique, often funny, and sober viewpoints on the world around us.

You represent the kind of reponsible people I grew up with and served with over the years until I retired finaly 1993.

I have frends in San Antonio that I hope I can visit in the next year or two and if I pass along your neck of the woods, I may just stop every LE place to say hello and thanks.

Who knows I might even say that you or your fellow LEOs.

Again, many thanks to you and your blog.

  2. I have been reading your blog for some time now and just wanted to voice my appreciation. It’s a rare treat to find such a good writer interested in the topics you choose. Your posts are a joy to read and your insights are very worthwhile.

Keep up the good work and know that the silent masses appreciate what you’re doing.

  3. RC Power,

    Are you kidding!?
Haven’t you read the story of the Ratel?

  4. I take full responsibility, LawDog. Because of my work, my livejournal is more “secure” to a particular readership than my web site. About 90% of my LJ posts get mirrored to my site, but the one from which you probably received all those LJ hits hasn’t been mirrored yet. I was recommending your blog in general, and more specifically pointing out your evacuation tips as Good Stuff.

Tom, he didn’t say responsible for what 😉

If you’re getting a lot of hits from Missouri I’ll confess to being partly responsible.

Mostly I think you’ll have to blame your popularity on your writing though.

BTW, you do realize that now you have even more people waiting for the end of the Pink Gorilla suit story, don’t you?

  6. Yeah, I’m here from Kit. I remember you from THR, but didn’t know you had a blog.

  7. Hi Law Dog,
Some of them might be coming from me, I put you on my Live Journal as a Link. Come on over and visit. I am the Next to Last Samurai, but you don’t have to sit on the floor; you can sit on the sofa, if we can get the Last Samurai to stop jumping up and down on it.
