Bugger!
I spent half-an-hour typing a Deadly Force screed. Blogger told me that it didn’t get published.
I spend another 20 minutes retyping it. After trying twice, it published.
When I popped in to read it, I discovered that Blogger has bloody well lied to me, and the first iteration did, in fact, publish. So now I’ve got two versions of the same article.
Bloody hell.
Second one is gone. Sorry if you were reading it when the flushing sound came.

Remember Mr. Lawdog,
Copy & Paste are your friends.
To clarify the above: type your posts into a file on your computer first, then, once finished, copy the whole thing and paste it into the browser. Web-based forms are notorious for their unreliability.
Copy & Paste are your friends.
Amen!
Just in case no one else mentions it:
Copy & Paste.
After the eleventeenth time this happened to me, I thought: “Hey, why don’t I write/edit in my word processor, then “copy & paste”?
Note to self: You are a genius.
Yep, I had the same experience (FOUR identical posts FRIDAY). And I also “compose” in Notepad then COPY-PASTE. Lawdog, we’re getting what we’ve paid for.
Sounds like you didn’t sacrifice to the appropriate gremlin.
I can feel your pain. Lost a really good post just last week.
So I decided to compose on laptop and then post to blog.
This works until the gremlins freeze up the antique that I am working from. 😛
