Well, that’s irritating.

Since Blogger is noodging me firmly about switching over to the new software, I attempted to do so just now.

I can’t. Apparently my blog is too big.

Folks, I’m new to this, but I’m relatively sure that my blog is one of the smaller blogs out there. One tends to think that maybe Blogger isn’t as ready as they might have you believe.

And — just as a comment — if one were to ascertain that a blog was actually capable of switching over before you began posting ‘SWITCH NOW!’ messages on the control panel, it might make you look like less of a tit in the long run.

I’m just saying, is all.

  2. Uhhh, I dunno my blog is something like 5 times your size, and I switched over no problem weeks ago.

    It took them 8 hours to do it though, which was a pain.

  3. You should just get your own domain and run your own blog software.

    Believe me, it’s just as easy as using blogger.

    I’d even set it up for ya.

    I’ve tried to switch over twice; and I have no problem running blog software (15+ years as a net/sys/sec admin, I damn well shouldnt); and I run about 20 domains, some of them since as far back as 1994.

    My problem is, everybody but blogger can be taken down with a DOS.; and every couple months the Hadjis go after me.

    I stay on blogger as a defense mechanism, because if it’s Osama Bin Fuctard against Google, I’m betting on Google.
