Michael Eisner call your office

You know, this kind of thing just casts a bit of doubt on the Palestinian end of the whole Roadmap for Peace.

Take my advice, don’t view this unless you’ve put any throwable objects out of reach.

You know, I’m not an expert on copyright law, but wouldn’t Disney have grounds for a lawsuit against Hamas for unauthorized use of Mickey Mouse?

  1. This is sickiening. As long as extremists continue to teach children hatred there will be no end to the death and destruction.

  2. Ok, this tears it. Nuke ’em from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.

  3. Y’know, the assclown in that mouse suit looks like just the kind of thieving idiot who’d try to swim off with fifty feet of logging chain…

  4. Disney complained. The Palestinians pulled the Mickey Mouse Character.

Now, if they would only do the same for their Mickey Mouse … aw, never mind. I won’t go there, I’ll just get ticked off again.

  5. There is way too mauch ‘bismillah’ and not enough ‘laish’ in this – for the non arabic speakers – bismillah is, depending on how you interperet it either the will of god or with the grace of god – ‘laish’ is why – simple enough – you would have thought they would have made the correlation and acted on it – oh hang on …..

  6. I’m surprised Disney even complained … I figured they’d stay good little leftist/PC Dhimmi and not stand up to the Caliphate.

  7. Oh – and just for the wondering few out there – I am a Brit in Texas right now – but spent quite a few years overseas, rather like our eloquent sponsor here – go Dog – I love reading the old Nigeria stories – I mean – you couldn’t make it up !

  8. My initial thought was that it was some sort of joke. No one could/would possibly take Mickey Mouse and use him to talk about world domination under Muslim rule.

Then it occurred to me that, yes, some people are scary enough to do exactly that. Worrisome doesn’t begin to cover it.

  9. “Many say we had greatness in the past, and culture”

Admitting, from their own mouths, that they’re uncultured barbarians.

  10. Michael E. isn’t in that chair anymore, but that’s beside the point.

Others have addressed the “training” issue, so I’ll address another. I see this as another case of them using our own tools against us.

This was a cartoon character designed to entertain. But it was also a tool for them just as are our aircraft, our open society, our religious tolerance, our wilingness to have foreign students in nuclear facility security courses, etc., etc., etc.

This one should be an icon for the practice of claiming political action under the guise of religion.

  11. That is scary.

But on the other hand, if I was a 12 year old fanatical muslim extremist, I’d totally hit that.

Of course, if I was a 50 year old fanatical muslim extremist, I could hit that too, but that’s another discussion for another day.

I’m glad to be living in America, where my pre-teen daughters will not have to worry about being married off to senior citizens.

  12. I kept thinking that one day that little girl will fully realize the inescapable horror of her low status in the world of Islam as a woman. For now, she’s young, willing and useful, but when she’s a bitter, wiser brood-mare, the world will never hear of it. Disgusting.

  13. Any doubt who the enemy really is? Any doubt what their aims really are? How can the peace-niks out there still believe that we can just solve everything by talking and showing them how nice we are? Clearly the Pal’s and the rest of the Arab world are taking steps to ensure that their young are fully programmed with a never-say-die level of hatred for all things non-muslim. Instead of reining in our efforts in Iraq, we should be expanding the assault to Syria, Iran and Gaza!

  14. I got two words and one sound effect that this sick and twisted perversion of children’s edu-tainment bring to mind:

    “Seig….Heil!”

    and

    (vomits).

  15. I guess it’s the sicko in me, but I would love to have seen someone dressed as one of the WB cartoon characters from the 1940’s (like Bugs Bunny in the Army or USMC uniform) suddenly jump on-scene and start whipping the sh** out of the guy in the Mouse suit.

Sigh. As has already been stated, stuff like this should illustrate to the West why Muslim extremists will never leave us in peace.

  16. Anyone else notice how “Palestine” is pronounced “Philistine”?

Bible-class flashes back to me every time.

These are the Philistines, people. God told us ~6,000 years ago what to do with them.

  17. Oh, and one more thing – what about the irony that they have to use a symbol of Western commerce, success and creativity to get the attention of their children? As baffling as it may seem, there may be an up-side to this that we are missing, folks.

Oh, and I agree with Tam about the guy in the mouse suit, and I could just imagine him saying “want some candy, little girl?”
    Ew.

  18. That ain’t Mickey Mouse,

I believe it is his arab cousin, Rashid Rat.

  19. “For now, she’s young, willing and useful, but when she’s a bitter, wiser brood-mare, the world will never hear of it. Disgusting.”

As a horseman, I believe I’ve seen broodmares treated a hell of a lot better.

    That’d be a nice touch.

  20. Apparently ‘Rashid Rat’ (as a previous poster so eloquently phrased it) is back on the air, according to LGF.
I third the motion for Bugs Bunny, USA or USMC, to interrupt this broadcast.

  21. 1. US copyright law only applies in the US (or other countries with treaties/agreements to honor US copyright law). So, no, the Arabs in Palestine are not likely doing anything illegal with their use of Mickey.

    2. Hamas promised to stop broadcasting their brainwashing, hate-inducing show.

    Hamas lied.
