  1. Great. And as soon as the the site allows general comments as with the LawDog site it will be promising.

Until the I reserve my comments.

  2. White on black is hard to read.

If I can’t read it comfortably, I won’t read it much. Maybe you could help him out.

  3. “Try to remember that the original and often forgotten role of the police is to punish those who break the law.”

Really? I thought “peace officers” were to mainain the “peace” …. and the judicial system did the punishment of those they found guilty…… not that they are doing a bang up job of it or anything.

    … and I’ll second 1894’s sentiment on the comments…….

  4. I like his stuff so far. Thanks for the head’s up.

I really enjoyed the story about the stabbing call.

  5. I tried to leave a comment, but his site doesn’t allow general comments.

    Too bad.

  6. same here, general comments not allowed. i don’t run a blog or any of the “open i.d.” choices but i’m known by the same nickname wherever i go and i try to mind my manners and act as a gentleman. i enjoyed cowtown cop’s comments on ccw permits, where i live they’re neither issued or required. we try to leave the good folks alone and lock up the bad ones and that works pretty well as a rule.

(c.c., if you’re reading this i’m not a police officer, just a retired armoured truck driver/guard.)

  7. I just discovered this morning that Cowtown Cop has taken his blog offline. I had noticed for a while that he hadn't posted anything for a few months. And now it is gone entirely. Let's hope that he's OK and just too busy to blog.

  8. I noted this also… appears to be replaced with some sort of a Ford Motor Company spam site that shows up in my blogger dashboard but appears empty when I open the blog in its own window.

    Hope he's ok…
